The Eternal Infernal Question

What part of BIKES ONLY are you falsely entitled, egregiously ignorant, doesn't-apply-to-me shmucktards having trouble with?

now, now, as a bicyclist AND jogger/walker, I've gotta say: just as there are precious few bike paths in LA, there are precious few dedicated spaces for runners. let's practice sharing and solidarity with the pedestrians, huh? they're not the problem ...

Anon,

Very noble and idealistic and condescending of you in a "can't we all get along" way, but I'm not taking that bait. What you're not seeing in that picture taken somewhere between the SaMo Pier and Venice is that I'm standing on the equally wide expanse designated for walkers/joggers, yet these two (and the countless thousands of others they represent) would rather selfishly go where THEY ARE CLEARLY NOT SUPPOSED TO, thus impeding bike traffic and offering potential to cause a spill.

I suppose I shouldn't blame this poor pair of space-challengees and instead point the finger of responsibility at authorities who fail to enforce the rules of the path. Or maybe I should blame the education system for failing to teach these flatfooters how to fucking READ.

In the meantime I invite these two to partake of the running tracks at nearby SaMo and Venice high schools. Or go exercise on the freeway for all I care.

No authority is going tell someone to get out of the bike lane- primarily because they likely would feel like a fool. I like to call them out when I see it in egregious cases. "Bike Lane Tool!"

COME ON...just as you expect cars to watch out for us, we need to watch out for pedestrians...SURE, the path is CLEARLY marked, SURE they SHOULDNT be there, but they are...so relax and go AROUND THEM...
Keep in mind this is a RECREATIONAL bike path, this isnt the path along Venice Blvd or anything...
RELAX...you do great work, but chilll...your militant attitude could do more harm than good...

Sorry Anonymouse looks like we'll have to agree to disagree on this one. And for the record, my "militant" nature would allow your laid-back POV some more consideration if it didn't make me want to puke.
